GLHQ 2008 Challenge
“Not Your Typical Log Cabin”
This challenge crosses all boundaries!
Click here for the Entry Form
Contemporary, traditional, pictorial, art, and innovative.
This year there is room for everyone and every style!
What we are looking for are quilts that take the traditional Log Cabin block to a new level. This years challenge quilt can include pineapple, diamonds or other shapes, spirals, uneven, traditional or courthouse steps but the log cabin block in its many forms must be recognizable in some way throughout most of the quilt.
You can add appliqué, embellishments, threads, beads, embroidery or any other technique you can think of and the only limit is your imagination. There are no color requirements, no size limits and no other rules! We would however, prefer to see the log cabin quilts as we know them “kicked up a notch” and with no offense to Eleanor we are not looking for your basic Quilt In A Day Log Cabin!
Quilts are due at the June meeting!
Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place!
