ON THE ROAD TO OZ MYSTERY QUILT DAY February 4, 2006 at Shriner’s Auditorium and Conference Center
The first stop on the Journey to Oz is at the registration table. Everyone receives a name tag and goody bag. Last year's finished quilts are put on display and prizes are given for the three favorites.
Then it's on to the sewing room to start setting up.
Promptly at 9:00 the committee began handing out the first step to the mystery quilt and the sewing begins.
Door prizes are given out throughout the day as well.
We all took a break for lunch.
The centerpieces were all in keeping with the Wizard of Oz theme.

Then it was back to sewing as more of the pattern was revealed. The pattern is called "Percolating Pinwheels" from the book Coffee-Time Quilts by Cathy Wierzbicki. Coffee-Time Quilts is a Martingale/That Patchwork Place publication. The pattern was copied with permission from the author.
It was a very productive day as several people left with finished quilt tops.
