Join Us for the Fall Retreat!

Do you ever wish you had some dedicated time to sew? Would you like to have a picture perfect view too? Do you want to spend more time with your quilt friends?  Are you looking to make new friends? Maybe you've been on a retreat before and have been excitedly awaiting the next retreat?

You are invited to join other GLH

Q members for our Annual Fall Retreat at the beautiful Lake Huron Retreat Center! We have sixteen wonderful people already signed up and we have room for a maximum of 24.

A $20 non-refundable deposit holds your space. Rooms can be shared between 2, 3, or 4 people, or you may select a single room.  Of course, the cost decreases when a room is shared (and the fun increases!!)

You can choose roommates or we can help you find roommates! Brunch and dinner are included in the fee.

To reserve your space, click Fall Retreat. Print the registration form and fill out the bottom portion of the form, write a check to GLHQ for the $20 deposit, and return to Sharyl Klettke.  You can bring the remaining amount to the September meeting or make arrangements to give it to Sharyl before the retreat.  If you have any questions for Sharyl, please see her contact information on the form.

Challenge Quilt

Every year our guild has a challenge for members!  This is a great opportunity to push the envelope and try new techniques!  Our Challenge Quilt for 2024 will be announced in September.

Mystery Quilt Day

Each winter our guild creates a Mystery Quilt Day where clues are provided to participants for a mystery project!  Look for 2024 Mystery Quilt registration details in Fall 2023.

Charity

The Great Lakes Heritage Quilters have a long history of supporting our community!

In the past, we have supported the following charities:

  • Heart to Heart Hospice - lap size quilts
  • Anthology of Farmington Hills Assisted Living: lap size quilts and polar fleece-lined Quilted Hug Shawls
Click on the project names above or search the internet for a pattern!  Finished items will be collected at our monthly meetings and from time-to-time at special collection sites and events!
The Charity Committee is already planning for this year! We are hoping to again
have some drop o days at quilt shops as well as some days set asid
