Dan began quilting about 20 years ago as a hobby he could do with his mother.  He soon discovered that the more he quilted, the more he wanted to quilt.  He loved seeing the reactions of people viewing his quilts. To be able to “wow” a viewer is an incredible feeling!  He met Jacqueline deJonge of BeColourful, The Netherlands in 2003 and was hooked on her challenging designs.

Dan is a former real estate broker and a retired Escrow Officer working in the Title Insurance industry.  He is a past President of Capital City Quilt Guild in Lansing, MI and a past Treasurer for Michigan Quilt Network. He currently resides in Canadian Lakes, Michigan.

He has made numerous paper-pieced quilts.  Two have been featured in the AQS Engagement calendar.  Hawaiian Star in the 2012 calendar and Catch Me … If You Can in the 2024 calendar.  His quilts have been juried in to the AQS Quilt Shows.  Most recently, Catch Me … If You Can in the Grand Rapids Show in 2022.

Dan has several sewing machines including a Gammill Longarm machine with a Statler Stitcher.

Dan says Quilting has been a passion for over 20 years!
