It's a good thing GLHQ has our own Martha Stewart!

Martha wanted to learn to quilt as her mother was hand-quilting and had finished several bed quilts.  Martha's sister, Marcia, began to instruct her on the proper way to press fabric pieces as she failed at her first several attempts of accurately using the rotary cutter.

Martha joined GLHQ after meeting Helen Jane Peters at a Christmas party on Sylvan Lake who encouraged her to visit this quilt guild that met at a church on Woodward.  She came as a guest then joined shortly after, around 2012, becoming Member #478.

Martha is a prolific quilter and enjoys making charity quilts, attending retreats, spending time with quilting friends and shopping.  She gifts several quilts each year.  Martha joins us from her winter stay in Mesa, AZ and will be showing us her beautiful quilts, along with tips and tricks she's learned along the way!
